The shortlists for the US Captive Review Awards and the inaugural Asia Captive Review Awards have been revealed.

The Asia Captive Review Awards will recognise firms, domiciles and individuals across 15 categories. The awards ceremony will take place in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 1 August, on the first night of the Asian Captive Conference 2018.

Categories range from Broker of the Year and Employee Benefits Specialist to Actuarial Firm and Captive Tax Specialist.

There will also be a special award presented for the Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.

The US Captive Review Awards is in its seventh year and will be held on the eve of the VCIA annual conference, at the Hilton Burlington on Monday, 6 August.

As well as a particularly hotly contested Captive Manager of the Year category this year, for the first time a Captive Risk Manager of the Year will be recognised by our panel of industry judges.

Those risk managers nominated are Paul Berkemeier, Director of Global Risk Finance at Coca Cola; Paul Major, Vice President of Risk Management at Ameriprise; Janet Sheiner, VP Risk Management and Real Estate at AMN Healthcare; and Scott Irwin, Principal Insurance Consultant, Risk Management Treasury, Phillips 66.
