Artex hires Aon Cayman managing director

Artex has hired Adrian Lynch, managing director of Aon Cayman and Aon captive strategy leader for the Americas.

Lynch will join Artex North America as Executive Vice President and will be responsible for the growth of Artex offices in North America, Bermuda and Cayman Islands.

He will make the move to Artex in March 2021 and report to Jennifer Gallagher, president of Artex North America.

“Adrian brings us valuable expertise and is a proven leader in the captive insurance marketplace,” Gallagher said.

“Our growth strategy will be enhanced by his strong history in business development and sales. He is a great fit for our culture and I’m looking forward to working alongside him as we continue to build our enterprise.”

Lynch has more than 20 years experience in the industry, and has been based in Cayman Islands since 2013.

He is currently deputy chair of the Insurance Managers Association Cayman (IMAC) and chair of Cayman Finance Reinsurance Sub Committee.

Lynch will be replacing Kevin Heffernan in a newly expanded role. Heffernan has announced that he will be retiring in March 2021.

Heffernan has been with Artex for 15 years, and led captive operations across the US for the past 14 months.

“The company thanks Kevin for his innumerable contributions and wishes him well on the next stage in his life’s journey,” a statement from Artex said.
