Labuan IBFC CEO Farah Jaafar moves to digital assets industry

CEO of Labuan IBFC, Farah Jaafar, has left the regulator and moved to a new role as managing director and chief communications officer at the Fusang Digital Assets Exchange.

Jaafar had been CEO of Labuan IBFC since 2018, and worked for the organisation for more than seven years in total.

During her tenure Labuan greatly increased the number of captive insurance companies regulated in the domicile, and led her team to win a number of awards.

A new CEO is expected to be appointed by the end of January 2022.
