SRS expands into Switzerland with three Aon hires

Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has expanded into Switzerland and hired three captive experts to open its office in Zurich.

The captive manager and consultant has made three key hires for the new office with Aon’s Georg Balint, Markus Beck and Maria Sandoval joining SRS.

SRS has been expanding into Europe in recent years, making a number of hires in 2020 including Derek Bridgman, Paul Owens and Andy Hulme.

“With its vigilant regulatory regime and stable operating environment, Switzerland is a key
market for SRS, so this is another milestone in our goal of expanding the global reach of our
company,” CEO and president Brady Young said.

Balint has been appointed as managing director (Switzerland), moving from his role as head of actuarial and analytics at Aon’s Zurich office. Balint will lead the Swiss actuarial practice and support consulting.

Beck, also appointed as a managing director (Switzerland), will join SRS on 1 April 2021 to lead the Swiss insurance management practice. Beck has been at Aon for six years, most recently working as managing director of captive operations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Sandoval will move to SRS from Aon on 1 March 2021, taking on the role of senior account manager (Switzerland). Sandoval is currently an account manager at Aon, where she has worked for five years.

“We are delighted to welcome Markus, Georg and Maria to our team. Each is an experienced industry professional who will provide SRS with a strong foundation to serve captive and commercial insurance clients in Switzerland,” Young said of the hires.

“In addition, Markus, Georg and Maria will add depth to our growing European presence and operate as part of SRS’s broader pan-European insurance management team.”
