UK Captive Services Awards recognises industry achievements

Aon and Kane were the big winners at the 2015 UK Captive Services Awards, held at the Banking Hall, in London last night (Thursday).

Aon Global Risk Consulting picked up the gongs for Risk Consulting Initiative and Solvency II Initiative while Peter Mullen, CEO of Aon Captive & Insurance Management, was recognised as Captive Professional of the Year.

Aon’s cell company, the White Rock Group, also picked up the award for Cell Captive of the Year.

Kane completed a clean sweep of the of the management awards – winning recognition in Customer Care in Captive Management, Independent Captive Manager and Captive Manager.

Malcolm Cutts-Watson, deputy CEO of the Willis Global Captive Practice, received a standing ovation from colleagues and peers when he received the award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.

Despite retiring from a full time executive role in December 2014, Cutts-Watson remains an integral part of the Willis team, with particularly strong input into the firm’s work in China.

The Robus Group were recognised in the Cell Company Initiative and ILS Service Provider Categories, while R&Q won Run-off Specialist and Bedell Cristin won Offshore Law Firm.

Ince & Co were recognised at best Onshore Law Firm, while FiscalReps won best Tax Advisory Firm and the MAXIS Global Benefits Network scooped Captive Healthcare Specialist.

Guernsey bagged the European Domicile award and Royal London Asset Management won Customer Care in Investment Management.

London & Capital won Innovation in Investment Management and BWCI picked up Actuarial Firm of the Year.
